Talk’s program>

‘Les Sublimes Archive – As horses in all directions’, is an exhibition of the notebooks containing notes and jottings by artists, philosophers, scientists and researchers from various disciplines. It is to be held in Turin from 4 to 6 November, during the Nesxt Festival devoted to independent Italian realities.

‘Les Sublimes Archive’, inspired by the Parisian utopia at the end of the 19th century and the group Les Sublimes, is an archive in progress that began in 2015. It is devoted to the most pure (or impure), primary and unproductive part of artistic creation and the generation of ideas. The aim is to make available for consultation the most personal material associated with the creative process, which is rarely accessible and displayed in an exhibition. These are highly contagious, poetic, ‘bare’ ideas, that are not yet ‘work(ing)’.

The notebooks will be displayed and can be looked through in the area arranged by Cose Cosmiche at the festival. They will also be digitized and enter the online archive http://www.lessublimes.org/.

Notebooks by: Marco Belfiore, Franco Berardi Bifo, Pamela Breda, Alessandro Broggi, Michele Capararo, Giampaolo Capisani, Massimo Cappi, Ermanno Cristini, Alessio De Girolamo, Lilith Grassi, Maurizio Guerri, Debora Hirsch, Loredana Longo, Domenico Antonio Mancini, Fabrizio Perghem, Chiara Pergola, Dan Perjovski, Luca Pozzi, Luca Scarabelli, Francesco Tampieri, Eugenio Tibaldi, Enzo Umbaca, Sophie Usunier, Luca Valenziano.

‘Les Sublimes Archive – As horses in all directions’ devoted to different ways of thinking, to the city of Turin, to Friedrich Nietzsche hugging the horse and the exhausted satellites orbiting the earth. During the exhibition of the archive’s new acquisitions there will be talks by the philosopher Maurizio Guerri on Nietzsche’s thought in his final years and by the astrophysicist Lilith Grassi on the issue of the debris of orbiting satellites and possible ways of disposing of it.
